Dear Summer West-Kennett,

You need a dedicated Nanny/au pair with a passion for children. My education and training make me an ideal candidate for this position. Please take a look at my attached CV for a detailed look at my skills and experience. Here's a snapshot of what I have to offer: I have several years of experience with children ranging from infants to age seventeen. I love children of all ages. I believe whole-heartedly that my personal experiences make me a perfect fit for this position. I have a kind heart and love to help people, but especially children.

My educational background and previous work and personal experience has prepared me for the role of a nanny/au pair. In particular, my study of adolescent behavior has given me a solid background so that I can provide children and families with help to overcome the social, behavioral, emotional, or economic problems that prevent learning. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and up-to-date skills to the families you serve.

I am certain that my CV will give you a greater understanding of my qualifications for this exciting opportunity. But if there is anything that you feel you need to be better informed of, feel free to contact me anytime.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with and learn from you and your talented team. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration,

Australian live in nanny - would require minimum of $15/hour+ food/board

Dear Family

Hi, my name is Jaimee and I am 25 years old, single and a non-smoker.

I have been working in a childcare centre for the past 5 years, and have a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.

Whilst I love working in a childcare centre, I feel now is the time to try something different.  I am planning on one day setting up my own family day care at home, as I believe a child learns and grows with more one on one attention and interaction from their carer.

Being a nanny is not new to me.  I worked for 2 families in Sydney about 5 years ago.  I spent 6 weeks with the first family who had 4 children under the age of 10 (9, 2 and 1 yr old twins – Twins are such fun!).

The second family I spent 8 months with looking after their 8 month old boy.  In this time I watched him grow and develop. I also got to watch him do a lot of ‘first time’ things, which was truly wonderful.

I then moved on to a childcare centre and spent 5 years working in the nursery with children aged between 4 months and 2 years old.   I loved my time in the childcare centre, especially in the nursery because whilst all children are beautiful I have a bit of a soft spot (well maybe a lot) for babies.

I love watching children grow and I believe that they are always developing and learning each and every single day.

I am also known as the go to babysitter for all my friends and family, something I love to do. I have a creative side and I am always looking for new ways to challenge and develop their minds.

I hope you will let me be a part of your children’s lives, a journey I can’t wait to start.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Jaimee

Adelaide (22) - France

**CANDIDATE TAKEN**

AVAILABILITY:

February/March 2015

Dear future host family,

My name is Adelaide and I'm 22. I am a Bachelor in Culture & Communication and I'm fluent in both English and French (which means I can be a tutor for your children to teach them how to speak French!) I also understand Spanish and know a few words of Russian (I know how to read the alphabet too).

I am an open-minded, reliable and responsible person - I have been working for four years with children, I get along really well with them and it's always a pleasure for me to take care of them and play with them too (because having fun is important :)!)

I really love young children (3-6 years old), the role I can have towards them is important since they can really rely on me like a big sister. I've been working a lot with young children but also with preteens so it's not a problem for me to handle any age! I have had some experience with babysitting very young babies too.

I have a driving license so I can drive your children anywhere, if needed.

I have an older brother, he's 25, we get along well (when we don't fight of course!) and even if I don't see him so often, I love spending time with him and my family.

I have lived on my own for four years when I was studying in another place than my hometown. Now I'm back at my parents' house since I work in Reims but I'm ready to leave France for new adventures!

It's my first experience as an au-pair but I have plenty of ideas to entertain your children:

- I cook all the time, I really love pastry-making (my dad taught me a lot and I'm curious so I love experimenting new recipes!)

- playing music (I have been playing saxophone for 13 years)

- playing games (of course)

- reading AND inventing stories/plays/etc. etc., it's up to our imagination!

- drawing (not so sure of my artistic skills but it can still be fun) and make crafts

- listening to music (all kinds, I don't have any preference)

I also like being at home, just chilling out, or hanging out with friends.

I think going for a walk with children is really important as they can play outside and make profit of their time looking at nature. I love being outside, if the weather is good of course (I've worked in all kinds of weather conditions, vive la France!)

I also LOVE animals, I have a cat and a dog at home and I often play with them, they're so cute!

I'm an outgoing person, easygoing too, I eat everything and it is not difficult to please me.

I decided to try being an au-pair because I love children, first, but also because it's a way to travel and I WANT to travel to discover new countries and new cultures.

I love speaking English. I had the chance to learn it with natives during seven years so I'm glad I had this opportunity. As I don't study it anymore, I kind of lost some of my vocabulary and I'd really like to get it back, plus it would be very nice to re-experiment living in an english-speaking country. :)

Thanks for reading all this, if you want to know more about me please get in touch, I'd love to answer your questions. :)

Best regards,

Adelaide

Mother is a Waitress, Barista and Barmaid. I graduated from Belfast Jordanstown University as a Physiotherapist.  I volunteered as a sports physio for the local sports teams during my free time, whilst working as a nanny full time. I decided I wanted to travel before settling into a full time career as a physiotherapist at home.

My experience with children is as follows:

I had the pleasure of working as a nanny for 3 years, for the wonderful Franey family in my home town of Ballycastle, Northern Ireland. The Mother’s name is Eimear, the Father’s name is Stephen, the girl is called Aine (aged 6), the two boys are called Oisin (aged 3) and Aodhan (aged 1). I feel like I have gained a family and amazing friendships with this family and I will be a member of their family for life.

Dear Families,

I would love to work as an Au Pair to your children as I enjoy helping them to grow and

develop into independent young people. I enjoy and thrive off their enthusiasm and

hope to provide them with a fun and positive environment in which to do so.

I am a caring and friendly individual who will give time and patience to your children.

I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can create a good

rapport with young children. I am honest, hardworking and reliable and will be flexible

to your family’s needs.

I enjoy undertaking arts and craft activities, baking and reading, and love to share these

interests with children. I also love for children to share their interests with me and will

listen to them and incorporate their interests into age appropriate activities.

  • Calm, patient and caring individual with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Works well within a team and autonomously

  • Proactive and passionate about working to provide the best care for the children

  • Good and effective communication skills

I have a degree in Applied Psychology, I have always wanted to have a career in childcare and education and so I started off by volunteering at a local youth club.  I then worked as a Learning Support Assistant and Careworker at a school for children with autism where I was based with the Primary aged children who had low functioning autism.  I would work one to one with them during school time and also after school and weekends in the residential care unit.  As a care worker, I would support them with their daily hygiene and encourage their use of communication throughout the day in order to become as independent as possible. This experience led me to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education.  I taught a class of reception aged children (4 and 5 year olds) in all areas of the curriculum including phonics and Numeracy.

I came to Australia last August in order to experience life in another country, I travelled up the East coast for the first 2 months and then worked as a Teacher's Aide to support a boy aged 8 who was diagnosed with ADHD and Reactive Attachment Disorder.  I find that I enjoy the care side more than the academic side and so worked as a nanny to a boy aged 4 and a girl aged 2 in Melbourne.

I have been living in the outback for the past 3 months and have been working as a Governess to a boy aged 12 to help him with his school work.  I now have another year on my visa and am looking forward to living and experiencing Melbourne for another year.

My name is Lena Fuchs, I am from Germany and 20 years old. Currently I'm working as an au pair in Sydney. My host family has got a girl (10 years) and a boy (8 years). I started in July and will finish here in December.

In my free time I go to the gym, get singing lessons and meet up with friends. I like listening to music, taking photos, skiing and my big passion is singing.

Being one of the older children I often played with my little cousins and took care of them, which I always enjoyed. They love me and I love them very much and we get along with each other so well! I had much fun and pleasure in taking care of children, so that I decided in grade ten to become a sponsor at school for pupils in grade five. Here, I took responsibility and supported the teachers during the school trip and recesses.

Due to my pleasure in the contact with children and the desire of a new challenge I have decided to apply for an au pair job.

Hello Families!  I am 23 years old – the oldest child in my family. I have just finished my 4 year degree in Business Management at Leeds Metropolitan University which was very tough but I am now free and read to try something new! I am British and live between both my mum and dads house’s  in a seaside town called Cleethorpes, we live right on the beach and its beautiful!  I also have a brother called Michael who is 19 and we get on great, he is studying to be a plumber and will be qualified in 2 years’ time. As well as this we also have a little dog named Billy who is 5 and he is our baby of the house! Me and my brother have both been brought up by parents who want us to be well educated and want the best for our future just like I’m sure you parents do yours!

So after recently completing my studies I am now looking to come to Sydney to be an au pair girl as I feel I have a lot to offer. I am motivated, caring, honest, very reliable and most of all loving! I use my own initiative and I am a very sensible girl during any situation!  I love children, we have many children in our family and I am a god mother to my cousins little girl called Halle-Brooke who is 3, she is gorgeous! I regularly babysit and take her for days out as well as overnight stays, we have a great bond and I love her!

My qualifications vary – I have a total of 11 GCSE’s from school A-C grade, one of these being child development in which I gained a C. I then progressed onto college where I studied for 3 years of Travel and Tourism and finally have just completed my BA (Hons) Degree in Business Management. As well as this, as part of my university degree I was required to undertake a 1 year work placement therefore I decided to go to America where I worked in private high end American country clubs in Miami Beach, Florida and Greenwich, Connecticut. I had the most amazing time and it was a well worth experience in which I took away many skills. At these country clubs we were required to work with children and ultimately I made bonds with these children and relationships with them. Due to this experience I know I will be very much suited to living and working away and will have no problem adapting to a new life.

My personal life involves a lot of normal activities in which a girl of my age would like. I am a very active girl, healthy eating is a must and I like to keep fit by running 3 times a week (outdoor running) as well as attending a gym. I am also a very productive girl and I would consider myself as a more hands on type of person! Constantly up for activities, days out, walking, biking, shopping, picnics, swimming, biking, sightseeing, painting, dancing, and reading and just generally having a good time looking after kids.

As well as this I am CPR trained and I own a full clean UK driving license. I have been driving for 7 years now and hold no issues with driving a car. I will be happy to fulfil any needs in which a family like you are looking for! Please be in touch.

In my free time I like to play the violin and I was a member of the choir at my school. With the Choir we went to Tansania and Oman - so I love to travel and to experience different cultures!

I just graduated school in Germany with my A-Levels and I have good knowledge of English. Since 2013 I have my drivers licence and I would describe me to be a very good driver. I would love to get some lessons from my new host family in relation to the Australian road rules and driving here prior to using the car on my own!

At the moment I am working as an Au Pair in Sydney (Waterloo) since 3 weeks now and I take care of a 4 year old boy. Unfortunately my current host family is no longer able to offer me this Au Pair Job, so I have to find another wonderful family soon as possible.

I have a lot experiences with working with children, because of my younger siblings  and I did a lot of babysitter jobs in Germany (under 12 month) and here in Sydney ( 8 month , 3 and 5 years old ). Also I did a practical training in a Kindergarden for 4 weeks which I really enjoyed. Here I worked with children from 3-4 years old!

To be an Au Pair is just wonderful and I love the work with children and to be like a big sister for them.

With children I like to do arts and crafts, playing outside or going to the beach and I am a really active, reliable and creative person. In the future I want to study something social.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

AVAILABILITy:

Dear host family,

My name is Nina von Waechter and I am 19. I moved once, so I am used to adjusting to a new environment and making friends with new people. I am open for establishing and deepening contacts. I have and older sister, called Julia, who is 22 and studies Math and Biology to become a primary teacher. My mum is a kindergarten teacher and takes especially care of children with disadvantages. My dad is an IT and Supply Chain manager in an international packing company. My family, which supports and helps me in every situation, is very important to me. I also have a very close relationship to my both grandmas, my aunt, my uncle and to my cousin. I am a very responsible, sensitive and polite person who enjoys taking care for kids and having fun with them. Moreover I am a reliable girl, who is interested in different things of life. In my free time I meet friends, go shopping, read books, do sports like Zumba, dancing and windsurfing. I am a good listener and like laughing and communicating with people.

I love children, so I decided to become an au pair in my favourite country Australia. I have experiences with babies and kids. I play with them, put them to bed, feed, dress the babies and supervise the schoolwork of the older children. Moreover, I have a driver license and I am willing to help your family with the household. I earn my pocket money with babysitting and I have looked many years after the children of my neighbourhood. They are like my little sisters. I am a friendly, open-minded, reliable person, who likes to have the family and friends around me. But also I am an independent girl, who likes travelling and gaining new experiences. I think working as an au pair would be a perfect opportunity for me to watch myself and the children develop as individuals.  I would be really happy when you choose me as your au pair. My wish is to support your family in everyday life.

I have done my Abitur this year and my wish was to work with children and to explore Australia. The reason why I want to be an au pair is to gain new experiences with children in an unknown country. Besides, I hope to improve my English knowledge and to learn more about myself. I would like to help the host family with the children. Children bring so much fun. I really like interacting with them and helping them learn and grow. I am looking forward to spend time with my host family and to look after the kids. I would like to be a big sister for the children. They can always come to me and talk about everything, they want.

I am really looking forward to hear from you.

Kind regards

AVAILABILITY:

April 2015

Dear Host family ,

My name is Mélissa, I am French and have been the happy Au Pair of four wonderful families, in Spain, Italy and now Australia. I've had a blast with each and all of my host families and I am now looking to extend my amazing adventure as an Au Pair with a new family, starting in April 2015. :)

I've been an Au Pair since I was 17 ( I'm now over 19) but really have been surrounded by kids all my life since my mum is a registered childminder and I am the eldest of four kids, making my house always full of children.

I've been baby-sitting since the age of 13 and was involved in various volunteering projects involving kids, often disabled, and it was an extremely rewarding experience that I hope to be able to do again one day.

I am generally a very bubbly girl who loves to laugh, help her community and try out new things (hence my love for travels!) Being an Au Pair has really change my life and I am glad to say that I've kept in touch with all my host families. I think communication is important and being able to discuss possible issues with my host families is in my opinion what made all of my experiences as an Au Pair successful and rewarding on most levels.

I still consider them as second families and miss my host kids every day and I really hope to have such a close relationship with my next host family as well.

As an Au Pair, I've looked mostly after younger kids all aged between 0 and 4 years old (My first host family had a 3 years old. The second one had 18 months old twins and a 4 years old, my third host family had a 1 year old baby and a 4 yo and I am currently in Sydney to look after a 7 months old baby girl.) but I have experience with older kids as well.

After living in 5 different country on my own as an Au Pair and exchange student, I can easily say that adapting to a new environment and culture has become a second nature to me and something I really enjoy. Through my different travels I've had the chance to learn new languages and became fluent in Spanish and English in addition to my mother tongue, French and now perfectly understand Italian. Those are languages that I would gladly share with your kids if wanted as I value the impact learning a second or third language at a young age could have on their future.

I know hiring an au pair isn't the easiest things in the world as it means opening your house to a foreigner that you do not know and letting her the most precious thing you have, your kids.

That is why I want you to know that if you chose me as your Au Pair I'll ALWAYS be honest with you and respectful of your family and values and very thankful of the opportunity I would have been given as I know how much trust you would have put in me, trusting me with your kids.

I am willing to answer any questions you may have about me or my experience so feel free to send me a message any time and I'll try to answer as soon as possible.

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Mélissa.

AVAILABILITY:

NOW

Hi, My name is Michelle, I'm twenty two and I moved to Melbourne a month ago from Ireland.  I came her on holiday last year and fell in love with this beautiful country and had to move here.

I'm very bubbly, I would like to think I'm lots of fun and love going on different adventures.

I love working with children and couldn't imagine anyone better to work with.  I love doing fun stuff with them, like going to parks, going on picnics and visiting the zoo.  I'm a big fan of the zoo.  I will never get tired of dressing them up and love to face paint and play imaginative games with them.

Watching kids grow up and seeing them change is truly wonderful and be a part of the journey would be incredible.

I enjoy cleaning up and keeping things organised, I'm very helpful and would love to help you out in any of your daily tasks.

I've been a nanny before, travelling around Ireland with family I regularly babysat for, it was an incredible experience.  The youngest was only two months old, the oldest was 12.

I used to play the playstation with the oldest boy and read stories to the middle girls and dress them up into their favourite princesses.

I took the time to make sure each child was taken care of.

Katie (24)- England
AVAILABILITy:
NOW - Sydney and available for interviews

Hi I am 24 years old from Cambridge. I have a younger sister and brother. I really enjoy being with children and think I would make a great nanny.

I have been a teacher in England which has funded my year of traveling to Central and South America, Asia, New Zealand and Australia.  In New Zealand I gained work as a farm worker.

When teaching we had a week off time table, where children where to do activities related to their houses. I was in the house of London therefore I contributed many activities towards this week including a ‘British’ seaside where we had sandcastle competitions in the long jump pit, peep through boards and flag making activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and for many it was their first beach experience!

In 2012 I volunteered at the Olympics as a games makers for the water polo Arena. I love sport and would actively play sport with the children, especially in the wonderful Aussie sunshine!

In the Summer of 2011, I went to America as a camp counsellor. I taught sailing, swimming and a number of other water sports. Working on water activities meant I had to always be alert and make decisions related to the safety of the children. I also lived for 8 weeks with fifteen, 15-year-old girls. There was a strict timetable to follow for meals and activities, requiring me to organise myself as well as the children.

I volunteered in my previous secondary school with Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and activity weeks, often assisting in map work and teamwork skills - demonstrating my responsible, co-operative and assertive character.

I think I would make a great au pair as I am fun, creative, and happy to use my initiative.

I am ready now to join a family here in Sydney and am available for face to face interviews!

My flight back to the UK is booked for the 15th of December, therefore I can commit to stay with a family up until then, however should this family be a superb fit for me and help me decide not to go home then I would be open to considering staying on!

Carly (22)- Wales (UK)

AVAILABILITy:
NOW - In Sydney and available for interviews

I am a UK trained qualified teacher. I am committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well-being of children at all times. I have excellent behaviour management skills and use a number of management strategies. I have managed incidents of challenging behaviour effectively.

I am a flexible and conscientious worker who is able to work effectively as a team member or independently. I have excellent time keeping and communication and supervisory skills. I am respectful, open and honest with a pleasant disposition and positive attitude. I have excellent motivational and organisational skills and work well under pressure. I am versatile and patient. I respond well to constructive criticism and have demonstrated that I am a reflective practitioner who is committed to enhancing my practice.

Since the age of 15, I babysat for family and friends on a regular basis. I sometimes babysat for a week at a time whilst parents were away. I thoroughly enjoyed looking after children and decided it was something I wanted to pursue as a career.

After finishing school at 16, I went to college to study BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development. As part of this course, I had to undertake a variety of placement experience. It involved one day a week, plus two ‘two week’ block placements in one setting. We would stay at this setting for one term. The settings I chose were primary school - one in infants (age 3,4,5) and one in Juniors (age 8,9); Day Nursery - (0-5);  and also an autistic unit in the younger class (age 6-10). I thoroughly enjoyed my studies and decided to become a teacher.

I have worked as a classroom teacher in a year 2/3 class on a temporary basis. I plan and teach all areas of the curriculum. We worked in a team teaching approach – therefore identifying my ability to work closely as a team member, as well as on my own. The school uses ‘The Leonardo Effect’ which is based on children using their skills to achieve outcomes. The majority of the work is carried out in a variety of practical strategies. This is found effective as it allows children of all capabilities to achieve their best, therefore planning a range of differentiated activities.

I run an after school club called ‘Sportacular.’ It is for the children in year 4/5/6 and we focus on fitness and different sporting skills; such as football, hockey, rugby and rounder’s’. I also assist in running the school council, which involves a group of pupils (two pupils from each class from year 2 up). The school council organise special events in school such as charity days, and contribute ideas to help improve the school.

In January 2014, the school went through an Inspection, which resulted in an excellent experience and outlook on what exactly is expected of you as a school.

As part of my rural work to qualify for my second WHV, I nannied for one child aged 4, as well as helping at the farm. I used to drop off/pick up from kindy, get her ready in the mornings, take her to activities such as swimming, soccer etc. and prepare packed lunch and cook dinner.

I also nannied for a family in Brisbane for 6 weeks. They had three children 6, and 2 year old twins. I would drop off/pick up from school, take to  after school activities such as swimming, prepare pack lunch, take them to the park, for a walk, and do fun activities such as painting.

I thoroughly enjoyed working as a nanny and I believe that I would make a great addition to your family.

Dear family,

My passion for children began when I realized the beauty of seeing life through the eyes of a child. As you get older life can become repetitive and robotic, but when I’m with children everything in life is exciting, colourful, a new experience.  Becoming an Au pair gives me the opportunity to offer/share my love of children while at the same time experiencing the world and a culture that is not my own.  I am an outgoing, fun loving person, and have always had a great love for adventure.  My parents are wonderful musicians, so as a child I grew up loving music, and always hearing it around the house.

My family has set a truly amazing example of the importance of a family unit, and growing up in a stable, supportive, and enormously loving environment.  Last year I was given to opportunity to bless the orphans of Thailand, but it was me who came away from the experience truly blessed. It opened my eyes and made me a greatly compassionate, and thankful person. The time I spent with those children shaped me in ways I never thought it could.

Other passions of mine are, swimming, the outdoors, cooking, and painting.  I love reading, and photography.

I would love the opportunity to work for a family in the city, and can commit to 6 months.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Liv xx

I am turning 18 in November this year, however I have often been told that I am mature beyond my years. I have learnt to grow up fairly quickly and I am confident with great experience with children of all ages.

Lisa (18)- Germany

AVAILABILITy:
NOW - Sydney and available for interviews

My name is Lisa and I'm 18 years old. I'm in Australia because I wanted to learn more about a different country before going to university. I'm from Germany and finished school in June.

My lovely family exists of my parents, 4 younger siblings (age 9 months, 4, 8, 12 years), a small dog and me. Because I'm used to live in a family with kids I think that an Au Pair job is the right opportunity for me to collect some money for the rest of my stay in Australia. I could stay with you for 6 months. I'm a person who needs people around her and it's important for me to socialize. So as an Au Pair I really would like to join your family.

Because I'm the oldest sister in my family I have a lot experience with children. I love to play or go outside with my siblings and I often have to look after them. Even if we have a cleaner at home everybody has to help in the household so light cleaning, preparing meals and something like that are not a hard job for me.

I'm a very active person, so I love to run, bike or just go outside. In my free time I love to travel and meet new people. I know that kids can be be loud and make a lot of work, but this doesn't stress me. I don't have a problem to be responsible for 2 or more children alone. Because of my youngest brother Leo I know how to care about a baby. Making bottles, feeding, changing nappies and entertaining are no problem to me.

I'm learning English for 11 years now and was in America for 4 weeks, so I think I don't have big language problems. I have an international driving license so I'm allowed to drive in Australia. But because we have right hand traffic in Germany I think I need some time to practice before I can do driving jobs for you.

I'm currently at a Hostel in Sydney and would be available for you in the next days.

So if you would like to have a big sister in your family don't be afraid to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Meri (20) - Finland
AVAILABILITY:

September 2014

Hi Families, I'm 20 years old and I come from Finland. Finnish is my native language so I'm sorry for my intermediate English. I live in a very small town with my mum, dad and little brother. My dad (50) is electrician and he runs his own business and my mum (50) works for him at home. My younger brother (14) started a school after summer holiday and is now at 8th grade. I have also big brother (23) and he is brand new Electrical Engineer. He lives with his fiance but at the moment he is in the army. And then last but not least there is Tiitu, our little Cavalier dog living with us. She is like a baby in our home, I would say she's very silly but so important to us :) we love her!

I'm responsible, social, easy-going and glad girl who loves sports, good food and music. I like spend my freetime at gym or running outdoors, home watching tv and with friends. I have a good sense of humor and I laugh a lot! I absolutely want to be more than just an Au Pair in your family and I hope you make my time there the best time of my life!

I can take care of a baby or older kids, I think I'm good with all ages :) I like to do all girly stuff like shopping but I also have a little boy inside me, so I love to hang out with little guys too. I like play football and other ball games and I'm interested in cars.. I worked seven months at primary school with only 50 students. It's a very small school here in the countyside but I really enjoyed my time there. I worked with kids between 6-12 year old and I know how challenging they can be sometimes. I have a friend with two adorable babies, three and one year old girl and boy. Days with them are the best, they are so glad and fun to be with and enjoy this very much.

The reason why I want to become an Au pair is that I want to see Australia but I don't want to be alone there, I want to be a part of family and see the real life there and to get to know your way of life. I want broad my horizon and get new experience. I think now is a perfect time for this adventure because I live at home and I don't have a boyfriend who I might be missing while I'm gone. I'm sure you don't have to regret if you take me to be part of your family!

I have had driver's license two and half year and I have drove a lot because I live so far away about everything. And because here in Finland I live on the countryside, there in Sydney I would like to live near beach and city and other au pairs. I'm ready to start on September.

Giulia (18) - Italy
AVAILABILITy:

Coming end of September beginning October 2014

Dear family,

I'm 18 years old and I come from Italy.

I'm still a student, but I'm going to do the final examination in these days; then I won't attend immediately the university because I'm still confused about my future and I would like to improve my English. I've studied foreign languages (French, English and German), but my school focuses on the cultural aspects, in fact we have studied lots of literature, but we have spoken less. For this reason I've decided to go abroad to improve also my pronunciation.

I live in a small village in Ledro Valley (North Italy), 20km far from a small city  called  Riva del Garda. I love living here, but I would like to see and to know other places and other cultures. I need  a change of air: here we all know each other, and I would like to go away, to have the possibility to feel an extraneous in a place where nobody knows me :) For this reason I'm sure that I will manage to stay far away from here!

At home we are four persons: my mother, Alessandra, is a teacher, my father Roberto is a bricklayer and my brother Giorgio attends the third year of the high school. The most times we get on well but as in all the families we have some arguments, but we always solve them! I always help my mother with the housework, and my brother too. We help our parents with cooking, cleaning or with the gardening (we have a big garden). I've got a big spirit of adaptability: I'll help you with the houseworks without any problems!

I'm an active and sporty girl,  I love being outdoor and doing different sports! I've been playing volleyball since I was a little girl, I play it in a team with other girls and we are all friends. I also go running around the lake nearby and I go swimming in a swimming pool in the city next to my village. I love also climbing and skiing with my friends! :)  or simply going out for a walk with my dog!

I've also other hobbies such as reading books, listening to music, cooking and above all going out with my friends:)

Maybe you will be interested also in knowing that I've already had some experiences with children: I've got four big cousins that all have got children, who I often took care of. Especially in the school holidays in winter or at Easter when my little cousins are on holidays and their parents work I go to their house, wake up the children, do their breakfast and then we make homework, if they have to do them, but more often we play! They love make me drawing but also we like playing outdoor for example playing football or going around by bike! In summer we also go the lake to swim!

I'm planning to go to university, but I've so many and different ideas! I think that taking a decision about choosing the university is very hard and I want to take time in order to think very well about my future.  I've decided to take a year off and I've considered the idea of becoming an au pair girl.

I think that the experience of being an “au pair girl” could let me spend time and be in contact with new people, who have a different language and culture from mine. That could make my language improved and also it could show me different horizons.

I would like to do this kind experience because it could let me see the world and, at the same time, it could let me stay directly in contact with people and, above all, with children, that I love.

I would like to leave my country for some time, I love the place where I live and also the people I'm in contact with, but I would know and see something new, something different.

I'm also very interested to know your culture: how you live, what you usually do and which are your habits. In fact I would be pleased of being involved in your family activities!

I think that going to another country alone to do such an experience could let me grow, become stronger and more independent.

I hope to be the right person you are searching for :) I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Dear Family,

My name is Camilla, I am a 18 year old (female) Australian. I live in a medium town called Bathurst with the population of 37, 000 people. Even through I live in Bathurst I do not attend school there. I have been attending a boarding School since the age of 13 in a town called Mittagong. It is an independent all girls boarding school and I loved it. It is in the Southern Highland region (an hour south of Sydney), which is where I am completing my graduation of high school this year.

After my year of Au Pairing in 2015, I wish to attend university and pursue a degree in nursing and major in paediatrics. But at the moment my main focus is to successfully at a high level complete my academic requirements and going abroad from taking a break from study.

My only language I speak is English, so I would very much love to find a family who speaks English.

When it comes to childcare experience, I have babysat children from ages of 0 to 15 for various families (both female and male). I was also hired to chauffeur for 8 weeks- to drive 3 children to appointments out of town, sporting events, friend’s houses etc.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in trying and participating in almost anything I can. I enjoy sport especially tennis, organising events, cooking, driving, baby sitting, and especially being surrounded by people. I love to be around people, whether it is friends, children, animals (I love all animals)- honestly anyone really.

I am a fun, energetic, sporty person that will make the most of any circumstance I am thrown into. I am the first to put my hand up for trying/experiencing something new as I have huge motivation and determination.  I am a fabulous house cleaner, as hygiene is my number 1. I am great with kids- with a huge amount of patients for any age. I would love nothing more than to help out with any children that you have.

I would love the opportunity to speak to you to answer any questions you may have about anything. I can absolutely provide a CV, and any references you would like (from families from those I have baby sat, Deputy Head, Head of Studies and the Head of Boarding at my current school.

Thankyou very much for your interest in my application.

I am looking forward to hearing from you

Shannon (34)- Australia
AVAILABILITy:

Available Now in Sydney!

Hi Families,

My name is Shannon, I'm 34 (yet very young at heart) and I am a passionate, fun loving, caring woman who is seeking career opportunities in Sydney as a live-in Nanny. I have experience with newborns up until early teen years and am confident with all ages.

I simply adore children and I believe this is reflected in the special bonds I form with young people of all ages. I would very much like to find a family that I have a wonderful connection with, and be with them for the long term. As I am Australian I can stay with the same family for as long as the relationship develops and grow and for as long as the family requires.

Children are such fascinating individuals and have to be treated as such, individual unique human beings. I find it extremely rewarding to learn the personality of a child and with my own instinct and knowledge, teach and nurture and guide that child to be the absolute best that he can be.

Having been blessed with two beautiful nieces in the past two years has only reaffirmed that family and children are extremely important to me.

I put my heart and soul into my work with children and I don't believe it should be any other way!!! I love animals and would be happy to car for your fur babies too!

Ines (18) - Germany
AVAILABILITY:

September/October 2014

Hi Families I´m eighteen years old. I finished school at the end of May with A-Level. I live in a city in the south of Germany at home with my parents and my younger brother – he is fifteen – and my older sister, who is 21, but she isn´t very often at home, because of studying at University circa two hours away.

In my free time I love doing sports, especially team sports, or just going out for a walk with my friends. I like to bake a lot and often try out a new recipe for cakes or muffins and also cook much more often for my family, since I left school.

I had no problems to solve the driving test and drive a lot in my spare time, that´s why I am able to drive careful and safe. I am a likeable and open-minded person and very communicative. I laugh a lot and love having my friends and my family around me. That´s why I have different feelings about leaving them for a while: I think at first it will be hard to be so far away from them, but I´m also very curious and excited about the time in New Zealand. I know there are nice people that I will meet, and a new family I’ll hopefully get there.

In our neighbourhood I often helped to care about the children there and it was always a lot of fun. We went to the playground or played together in the house. Now I use to care about three little girls in age of three (they are twins) and five. We often go out playing at the playground or visit the near forest, eat together or read a book. They always draw pictures and give them to me as a present, or we draw and make things together. I think the atmosphere between us is very good and we like each other very much.

I love children and being with them makes me happy, that´s why I have the dream to have good experiences in New Zealand with a nice family, where I can live. I am able to take responsibility and also to care about the household, but I am always capable of learning more.

It would be great if I could start in September/October and stay until June.

I´m really looking forward to hearing from you! Best wishes!

I would love to have to have the opportunity come to Australia in October. I speak Finnish, however I also speak English and Swedish well and a little Spanish and German too!

I just graduated from high-school and at the moment I'm working in an amusementpark till October. I'm really easy-going and happy person. I have a very positive outlook on life. In my freetime I like to be with my friends and go to the gym. I enjoy cooking and baking, reading novels, watching movies and many outdoor activities like taking our dog for a long walk to the forest or going to the beach in summer.
I live in a town called Tuusula near our capital Helsinki with my mum, dad and our dog.
I have 21-year-old sister Pauliina who lives in Helsinki.

I have coeliac disease and have to adhere to a gluten‐free diet. I cannot eat wheat, rye, barley or oats or food containing them. But otherwise I can eat almost everything. I can cook too and I really enjoy it, so it's no problem for me to cook sometimes or help with cooking.

The reason why I would want to be an au pair is that it would be a great way to work, meet new people and get new experiences. I love taking care of children so i'm really looking forward to it!

I have been babysitting many times one five-year-old boy last year and it went great! Two years ago I lived one month in a family in England and although I wasn't a nanny there I spent much time with their children (an eight-year-old girl and an eleven-year-old boy). I played different games with them and read them stories. I really enjoyed it!

Dear Family!

Let me start off by saying I love to travel and work with kids. I have loved to do both ever since I can remember. So having the opportunity to travel to somewhere I have never been before AND work with kids is a dream come true.

I have a desire to work in early childhood education/development, I would love to either teach or become a psychologist.

I have had a lot of babysitting/nannying jobs, as well as volunteering in an orphanage in Haiti where I formed close bonds with a lot of the kids there (more specifically, a little 10 month old named Anne).

I just graduated from High School and plan on taking a gap year just so I can figure out what I want to do in the years to come. After the gap year, I plan on going to college (still deciding what college I want to go to though!).

I am a tidy, organized, honest, hard working, playful, energetic person who would love to live with someone in a brand new environment, with a new culture, family, friends, and life.

To have this opportunity would be a dream come true.

Thank you so much!

Lou (19) - Germany
AVAILABILITY:

Just arrived in Sydney! Is available for Interviews now!

Dear family, my name is Lou and I'm really interested in becoming an au pair. I would like to work for 6 months as a caretaker for your kids, help you in the household and be a part of your family. My hometown is called Halle/Saale and it's a pretty small, old and culturally interesting town in the east of Germany just one hour away from Berlin.

Right now I live with my mother and my 18 year old brother Till whom I always took care of when he was younger. I finished high school with an A-level diploma in 2013 and the past year I did an internship with a fashion company in my hometown.

Ever since I was thirteen I worked as a babysitter and part time nanny for a couple of families with several kids between 1-12 years. I also did a 2 week internship in a primary school during my senior year of high school. In 10th grade I went to Paris as an exchange student because I am really interested in experiencing different cultures and also I wanted to improve my high school french and know what it's like to live with a strange family.

I also took part of a ''Comenius Project'' in high school which is an exchange program within Europe, that helped me learn about other cultures, languages and making friends with students from other countries who came and spent some time living with me and my family in Germany. In my free time I like to play tennis, volleyball, take dancing classes and meet my friends. I am a really open and outgoing person who loves to learn new things and meet new people. I especially love to spend time and work with kids and thanks to all the experience I already gained I consider myself a great babysitter and caretaker.

I am a fast learner and I respect and follow rules and enjoyed a great upbringing by my family. I am also a neat person that is used to helping in the household, cleaning and being part of group activities. I really like Germany and I plan on studying and working here but before I start, I really want to live abroad for a while and make some more experiences. I would love to work as an au pair because I enjoy the work and time with kids, its something I have done all my life and something I feel good at. I also think its great to live in a strange country, culture and family which is why I chose to look for a family outside my own country.

Thanks to my experience as an exchange student I know what it's like to live in a host family and I am a pleasant person to live and work with. The work and life as an au pair is something I consider both challenging and fun and an experience I want to make in my life. I hope you are interested in meeting me as your possible next au pair, I would love to hear your questions and get to know your family and you won't regret choosing me

Dominique (19) - Germany
AVAILABILITY:

October 2014

My name is Dominique, I’m 19 and have been living in Friedrichshafen in Southern Germany for 17 years now. I was born in Aschaffenburg but moved to Brunei, Borneo before my first birthday. My mom, dad and I stayed there for two years due to my dads job as a pilot. Back in Germany my brother Leon was born. He is now 16 years old. We both had a wonderful childhood get along very well. As he is three years younger than me, I have always had this feeling of being responsible for his well-being, I am used to being somebody's big sister and I love that role.

Since my parents both work for Lufthansa as flight attendant and pilot, I got used to traveling quite early because they often take us with them. Already at the age of twelve I started planning what I would do after having graduated: I saw myself on journeys to the U.S, Singapore, South Africa, Indonesia and Australia. These dreams were great but in reality I still had quite a few years of studying ahead of me. In total, I went to school for 13 years. After 10th grade I changed from my school of general education to one that is specialized on social sciences. I am very glad that I took this step, as the classes provided me a broad knowledge in psychology and pedagogy which I can make use of everyday.

I’ve heard a lot about both, being an Au pair and Australia. My mom worked as one when she was young, many of my friends do it and I know some Au pairs from Ireland and America, who absolutely love their job. I believe working with kids is the most fulfilling job you can have and I would be the happiest person if I found a family I can support and become a part of.

And Australia is simply the most fascinating country! I feel a huge urge to go there and meet new people, get in touch with different cultures and ways of life, not only for a holiday where I have to return after two weeks, but for some months! Combining my time abroad with the best job I can imagine is definitely my biggest dream right now!

People ask me if I’m not scared leaving home and staying on the other side of the world for such a long time but the good thing is that I don’t fear the language nor the possibility that I would feel alone. I’m open minded and usually get along with everybody. And I’m a very content and grateful person, which makes life much easier than if I always longed for something even better.

If you can imagine including me in your family and everyday life, I would love to hear from you!

AVAILABILITy:

Currently working as an Au Pair in Canberra and will looking for a new family in October this year!

I have a large family so several times, I had to keep my cousins, nephews entertained and care for them. I did babysitting, it consisted to fetch children to school, enjoy with them a snack, help them doing their homework, make them take their shower and eat. After dinner, we used to do some board games or to read .  When there was no school, I took them to the park or do cooking classes or sports activities.

This year in Australia, will be an opportunity for me to improve my English which is very important in my level of study. I am in my fourth year of university and I have the opportunity to take a gap year (stop school for a year and go back into education at the end of my travel) so it does not penalize my schooling ☺

I am very cheerful, always up for fun, but I know how to be firm and strict when it comes to children. There is a time for fun but education is also very important. I do a lot of sport, I go to the gym as soon as I can and I also take dance lessons with my friends.

In france , I live with my sister and my parents in paris , we loves travel in the wolrd , we have a house in paris and a house in the south of france for the holidays . My sister is 20 and she is studying art, we are very close and we have lots of fun together.( fashion week , cinema , art museum ) My mother works in real estate and my father is a businessman and he lot of travels .

We are a family really united. The family always comes before everything else.

I have my driving license since four years and I drive a cars here in Canberra where I am currently an Au Pair with a lovely family. I take care of 3 childrens , 5 years ( boys who are very energic ), 8 years ( a gilrs who love sport ) and 10 years ( a girls very girly )

And I am like as “ big sister“  and I love this experience , I discover an over culture ( vegemite , banana cake  lol )

Angelique (27)- France
QLD - Deception Bay Area Only
AVAILABILITy:
NOW - In Deception Bay, QLD and available for interviews

Dear Families,

To describe myself...it is every times hard,  I will say that I am a positive person, I like to laugh and enjoy every moment in my life. I chose to travel because I wanted to discover other things than my only house. I like to talk and share my experiences, the French culture and the French recipes with people.

I am really sociable and very open minded. I am also reliable and hard worker. I got responsibilities really young (around 12 years old) when I started to look after my young brothers. That's the moment where I realised that I liked to do it that. So I started to do babysitting with my neighbours and decide to orientate my studies to be teacher. As soon I could, I worked in holiday’s centre. So that I could pay my studies I worked in public schools as a teaching assistant and manager for the extra-curricular activities.

In the end of my studies, I sold everything in France because I wanted to travel around the world and experience new views, new people and new cultures, it is really enriching!

I am really enterprising and motivated person. And I know I can adapt myself really quickly, I have an adventurous mind.

Being an au pair for me will be exceptional because I think that it is the best way to discover a culture and a country, by living with and being part of a family here. More than that, I could work in a sector I love and who blossom…work with children!!!

Looking forward to hear you!!

Angelique

My name is Alex and I am 22 years old. To tell you a little more about myself, I have just graduated from Exeter Univeristy where I studied English Literature and I have moved back out to Bondi because, as an outdoorsy person, I just couldn’t resist the sun and the surf!

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a beautiful area of rural England which really inspired my love of the outdoors. I grew up riding horse and playing every single sport you can imagine!

I had a fantastic time at school, I was head of house and captain of the equestrian team, I was also very active in the school magazine. In my time at school I also started worked at the primary school that we funded, this involved organising games, activities and sporting events for young children.

My CV fully outlines my experience and I have had numerous nannying and babysitting jobs as well as having 2 young nieces who I love to spend time with. I find it incredibly rewarding looking after children in a fun and educational way. I have also worked as a PA, lifestyle manager and events planner (all for the same company) and so I am very happy and confident to help out around the house or with any household organisational tasks. I am a confident cook having been brought up on healthy home cooked meals. In terms of the fun stuff, I love to ride horses, play in the sea, run, paint (although I am terrible!), cook (especially baking), play tennis and meet new people! In my downtime I love to read.

I am looking for an Au Pair position that offers 20-30 hours/week that offers full board, with accommodation and some pocket money. In my spare time I will be doing a Diploma in Finance and am here in Australia on a Student Visa. I can discuss my timetable (which is very flexible) with you when we meet!

I really look forward to meeting you and your lovely family.

Best wishes,

Alex

Sandra  (28) - Colombia
AVAILABILITY:
***No Longer Available***

My name is Sandra Forero. I am 28 and I have recently migrated to Australia. I am looking to secure employment as a nanny or likewise as I have the desired skills and training to care for children of many ages. I am responsible, organised, caring and highly dedicated to children under my care. Before I travelled to Australia I was working as an occupational therapist in a privately run orphanage for abandoned children of my city Bogota called FANA. During the five years that I worked in FANA, I was responsible for the ongoing care of more than 20 children at any one time aged between 1 and 15. I was not only responsible for implementing therapy for children with physical and learning difficulties but I also cared for the children like a teacher or a mother for all their everyday needs. This included meals, clothing, education, exercise, play time and health checks as required. I was solely responsible for coordinating the children’s appointments with other healthcare professionals such as psychologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, doctors and social workers. This included the maintenance of all important documentation for each and every child that was audited every 3 months by government officials.

Each day I oversaw the children eat their breakfast and then proceed to the classroom where I would take them through various educational activities. I taught the children the importance of their homework, making sure each child fulfilled their academic activities during their school day. I also trained and guided the other support staff such as the nurses and volunteer workers that assisted me with the children on a daily basis. I strived to achieve effective teamwork in order to achieve the best academic and behavioural performance in each and every child. I oversaw the children eat lunch and all their remaining activities for the day.

During holidays I was responsible for coordinating fun and interactive activities for the children to help develop their fine motor skills such as painting, drawing, making fine arts and crafts such as clay sculpting etc. Other activities were aimed at developing the children’s gross motor development such as soccer, jump rope, gymnastics, dance competitions etc. I also coordinated cognitive activities and games aimed at developing the children’s memory, attention and concentration. Similarly, I was responsible for arranging recreational outings like going to amusement parks, pools, farms, restaurants and the movies.

I also worked with the children teaching them the importance of personal values in life such as respect, honesty, determination, consideration and most of all love. I also believed in the importance of rewarding the children when they behaved and conducted themselves with respect. I strongly believed in the importance of teaching good behaviour in order to achieve a peaceful and respectful coexistence between the children and all adults including staff and visitors of the orphanage.

I enjoy working with children because I believe that their childhood is the most important time in their lives to develop their social and personal skills, education, dietary habits and life values. I enjoy every moment with each and every child I work with and I can see the result on their faces with a simple smile. I not only consider myself as a teacher or a guide but I consider myself as having the potential to help develop their personalities to be good and loving people as they grow. They learn from me and I also learn a lot from each child I work with.

I look forward to meeting and talking with you in the future.

Available now for Interviews

Dear Host Family,

My name is Selina  and I would like to describe myself with this letter.

It was always a great dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country. It would be wonderful for me to connect this with my passion to spend time with children.

I am 18 years old and I live togehter with my mother in Recklinghausen. My mother‘s name is Angelika and she is an assemblers. I have a very good relationship with my mother and she is very important for me. I can speak with her about everything. I am always helping my mother with the household chores. It is not a problem for me to clean, cook and shooping. In my freetime I like going out with my friends, shopping, listen to music and dancing.

I love to do sports. Every Wednesday I am going to the fitness center, where I do "Zumba".

The main reason why I want to become an au pair is that first of all I would like to be with children and that I would love to get to know the Australia way of life. I want to improve my language skills in english, because after the ´Au-Pair´ year, I am planning to study event and tourism managment.

After the four years at the primary school, I went for five years to the secondary school and than I went to the business school for two years. I get my vocational diploma in June 2014.

I have my driving license for one year now and I really love driving. I have not had any accident yet. I drive every week because of that I am a very careful driver.

I have worked as a babysitter for a group with 3-5 children every thursday. The Kids are 12 months to six years old and I am babysitting this group since 2 years. Every Saturday I am babysitting Femke, she is seven years old I care for her since she was 5 years old. I help her with the homework, playing games and cooking for her. Another child I look after is the 2 years old Leonie. She is a very lovely girl and I see her one day a week.

I hope that you got to know me a little bit more and you got a good impression of me. I hope you pick me as your au pair. It would be great to be part of your family.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon

Your sincerely

Selina

Hi Families!

I am a 19-year-old German student having a gap year, prior to commencing my university studies as a medical student in Tübingen. At my high school in Stadtroda I was chosen as class leader on two occasions. This was a responsible position, that I believe I fulfilled as honourably as would be expected of one chosen to that role. I was a representative of my school in inter- school athletics in both running and swimming. I am keen to remain healthy and fit and it would be perfect if I can find a family living the same lifestyle.

My hobbies are playing the violin, meeting friends, doing any kind of sport or adventurous things on the weekends: planning skydiving and just exploring the whole area around Sydney! Also at the end of being an Au pair or if i have some days off during my stay I would like to travel up the East Coast and Uluru! Maybe Tasmania & Thailand too.

In my family back in Germany there are 3 children of whom I am the youngest and I have two older brothers. One is studying music and the other just started media/camera studies. My mother is an accountant and my father works in a large savings bank.
Before I came to Australia I decided to work 6 Months in a Hospital. I was stationed in a Burns Injuries/ Accident rehabilitation centre, affecting children and adults here I learnt so much about myself, and what‘s important in life.

I had an amazing time with my previous Family in Gladesville/ Sydney. My duties were looking after Amelie from 7am-7pm, cooking for her and keep her entertained by going to Parks playing with other children, Indoor-playgrounds, having nice walks outside, chalk boards and just playing with all her Toys all day! We had an amazing time!

Overall my experiences with children are from 16 months - 12 Years. With kids I could play, dance, crafts, reading stories, running, listening to music, drawing, swimming, visiting places ... whatever they like! I love babies and toddlers but also older children. I have a lot of experiences with them!

Why Australia? Because I wish to discover this territory so rich, surprising culture, overall such a life different from mine. To improve my English in a country where it is pleasant to live and in a family that will welcome me as their own!

I‘m reliable, loyal and truehearted and enjoy spending time with children.

AVAILABILITy:
Arriving into Sydney 2nd December 2014

My name is Jessica and I'm a 19 year old belgian girl and who lives in Germany. There I live near Passau, it's in Bavaria. I just finished my a-levels at school and now want to collect new experience.

I come from a family of 4. I have a little sister, Maite which is 17 years-old and still goes to school. My mother is belgian and works as an physiotherapist and also in a fitnesscenter. My dad is also belgian and works as an osteopath and physiotherapist, he is independent. We also have a 11year old cat and a four year old dog at home. My parents always speaks french at home, so I understand everything and also can speak french, although I always answer them on german. My whole relations live in Belgium, so we travel quite often there.

I haven't any plans for my future, I just know that I would like to work with people especially with children. For example as a speech-therapist or social worker. So there's time to orientate myself and go for a year abroad and as I would like to do something with children it's the perfect match to be an au pair and collect more experiences with them.

Till now I have made a total of 3 practical trainings with children. 2010 I made a practical training in a kindergarden with disabled children for two weeks and 2011 for one week in a normal kindergarden. 2014 I finished my a-levels specialized in psychology where I also had to make a hands-on-training in a kindergarden for nearly 3 months with children between 2 and 6 years. There I played, cooked, handicraft worked with them, read stories and brouhgt the two little kids to their afternoon nap.

My english is not very fluent but I'm still working on it and I have the willignes to learn as much as I can and it's also a reason, why I'm travelling to Australia, to improve it.

I also have my driver license since two years, so I could drop of or pick up your children from school or other activities.

By the way I also have my first aid certificate.

Few words about me...people used to say that I'm a patient, friendly, reliable, harmonic and responsible person. I'm also a person who is everytime open to try new things in life, so I'm not very complicated. In my sparetime I like doing something with my friends and my boyfriend. I also like going for a walk and just enjoy the nature. I also often go to the fitnesscenter with friends or my sister. In winter my family and I usually go skiing in Italy.

I'm a non-smoker but wouldn't have any problems if your family is. I also have no problems with doing some light household duties as I have to do it at home too.

I would love to have a family living in or around sydney at would be very happy to stay for about 4 months cause I would like to have time for a second family in my year abroad to see a little bit more of Australia.

Hi Families,

Hi I'm a 25 year old swedish girl. I have been in Australia since November and three of those months in Sydney. I'm currently a live in nanny in Gunnedah, caring for two girls, 4 and 5 year old. I'm moving back to Sydney 3rd of August and I'm looking for a live out position.

A few years ago I was an au pair in the U.S for a year, caring for a girl and a boy, both 7 years old. I have also been working at a daycare center back in Sweden.

I love kids and I love how much joy they give me. I'm a very happy, caring, trustworthy, responsible and loving person.

When I move back to Sydney early August I will be looking for a full time live-out Nanny role until my VISA expires in November - unless I find work to gain my 2nd year visa and then I can stay for another 12 months (after a quick trip back home in December).

If you have any questions, let me know! Also if you have any questions to my current host mum, she will be happy to answer :)

In Australia and available October 12th

Hi There!

I'm 24-year-old Finnish girl currently living in Sydney (Coogee) with a host family. I came to Sydney to finish my BBA studies so last 5 months I have been doing internship here in a local company. Here I have lived with host mum, dad, 3 young boys and dog. Back in Finland I have been living with my sister and brother in city since I was 17-year-old, and our parents are still staying in our farm which is located in countryside. As I'm the oldest one of us three, at our city apartment I have been playing mum-role by taking care of cleaning and making food there.

I'm experienced working with kids as I have been personal assistant for down syndrome kid in children day care center, my summer jobs when I was younger was to be nanny for 2 girls (Full-time 2 months) and I have been doing casual baby-sitting here in Australia and also in Finland. In children day care me and that kid were part of the group (age 1-3 years) so work included all the day care routines, supporting kids growth and responsibility of kids safety. That experience taught me how is it to work with kids, so I can say that I know what I'm applying for.

As a person I'm very open-minded, out-going and happy. I keep my word always and if I have promised something you can rely on that. On my free time I usually just hang out with friends doing different kind of things. I like to listen music, watch movies, jog, travel/see new places in the city.

I would like to meet face-to-face before big decision, so let's arrange meeting if you're interested to get this nice Finnish girl to help your family to survive of everyday life.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Regards,

Viivi

Dear family,

I live in Sydney for the moment and I’m in Australia for 4 months.

I have a Working and holiday Visa and I would like to discover many big cities in Australia, another culture and cultural infrastructures (museum, auction house, gallery,...).

I am 30 years old and I come from France (near Paris). I have a Bachelor's degree in Art history and expertise of art and I would want when I'll go back in France work in a museum to make discover to the children the art history either work in a school to build programs in art history (as in my old work).

I have a partner since 11 years but he stayed in France for his work. I'm a good cook (all my family and my friends say it, so I think it's true), I like visiting an exhibition and taking time with my friends.

My mother was a nanny when I was 15 years old and I took care of the children when my mother had to go out, I enjoyed this very much! The children came to us when they were newborn (3 weeks of age) until 8 years old and 5 years old. They were like my own little borthers,  and from this I have quite a lot of experience working with children and I know what to do in case of an emergency along with being mature and responsible to manage all aspects of running a house.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Dear families,

My name is Mette-Marie Jensen. I am a 19-year-old girl from Denmark. I have just moved to Australia, and I’m now planning to live here for 9 months on a working-holiday visa before going back to Denmark to study law.

For four years I have taken care of 3 children, who now is 7, 9 and 13 years old – so they were 3, 5 and 9 when I started. I picked them up from school and brought them home one or two times a week, and watched them until their parents would come home in the evening, or I would babysit them at night when the parents were out. I have a reference with me from this family should you wish to contact them regarding my employment during this time.

I have always been very outgoing and socially skilled. Interacting and working with other people is what motivates me, and makes me happy. I love playing, reading and having fun with children, but I am also ready to say no, and set boundaries when it is necessary, which I believe is needed for a child to feel safe with an adult. I really enjoy spending time with children, and have always been very happy and successful with my baby-sitting jobs.

My main hobbies are hanging out with my friends and family, outdoor activities – such as going for a long walk or to the beach. . Light housework and cooking is no problem.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss further details with you personally.

My name is Toni and I'm 28 years old.  Having lived and worked in Sydney for five months, I am looking to expand on the babysitting and childminding skills, I have learnt back at home in the UK, to become an aupair. I am currently back at home in the UK and due to land into Sydney at the end of June 2014.

I have experience spending weekends away with families and have looked after children between the ages of 6 months and 9 years old taking part in play time (and play dates), helping with homework, games and crafts and related light duties such as meal preparation and other household chores.  I have also spent a few years volunteering with older, underprivileged, children and teenagers in a variety of roles including supervising sports and social time and acting as a one-on-one mentor.

In my spare time I am a freelance travel and personal development writer and enjoy reading everything from crime thrillers to entrepreneurial guides.  I don't smoke and only very occasionally drink preferring to keep fit but enjoy the occasional 'naughty' food that I enjoy cooking and baking.   I love spending time outdoors, going for walks on the beach or simply watching the world go by in a cafe.

I love meeting new families as much spending time with the children as I believe that everyone can learn a little something from each other!

AVAILABILITy:

November 2014

Dear host family,

My name is Natasja Scheerschmidt, I’m 20 years old and from Germany.
The place I’m from called Twist it’s a small village near the Dutch border .My school was 15 km from my house away so I drove 2 years every day with my car to school. Except of my 2 ½ year driver experience I’m also used to drive at the other side of the street. Because I’m currently living in Killarney Heights with my host family (since August 12).I’m looking after 2 boys (4 and 6 years old) and a girl (8 years old).

My tasks at the moment are:  bring and pick up the kids to school, do the household (wash clothes, ironing, vacuuming, preparing dinner, clearing out the dishwasher and so on), bring the kids to activities and give them a bath. Furthermore I’m looking after the 14 months old son of my host mums friend one time a week.

In Germany I finished my A level with the main school subject Psychology/Pedagogy. During my school time I had to complete two practical trainings. Because I really like to spend time with children and want to connect my future job with it, I choose to spend my two practical trainings as a nursery school teacher in a Kindergarten. I had to look after children between 1-6 years. Overall I spend two fun-filled months in the Kindergarten.

Also I’ve looked after the son of my neighbors since he’s 4 (now he’s 7).

I’m an active girl who loves to spend time outdoors and to travel and explore this foreign country. I love to spend time with my friends when I’ve got my weekends off, to travel, spend time in the city or on the beach etc.  But I also like to come ‘home’ and to spend time with my host family. Therefore I hope you treat me as a member of your family.

My family that means my parents, my sister and me had 5 Au pairs when we were younger. I'm convinced that it’s a wonderful idea as au pair to help a family and be a part of the family. We’re a multicultural family. My dad was born in Germany, my mum in Russia and my sister and I were born in Netherland.  So I can speak fluent German, Russian and Dutch. Therefore I would like to find an English-speaking family, so I can improve my English and learn more about the Australian lifestyle (my current Host family are from Holland and speaks only Dutch to me).

Looking forward to hear from you!

Lovely regards,
Natasja

AVAILABILITy:

February 2015

Dear Families

I am 28 years old from England, UK. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and extensive work with young children.
My university degree covered topics such as child health and well-being, child education, social care and child protection. I learnt a great deal from this course and also carried out a number of placements in settings such as day care centres, special needs schools, and social services.
Since graduating from University I have always worked within child care. Some of my previous jobs include nannying, working in a residential unit for children with severe autism and challenging behaviours, running a baby room at a day care centre and a maternity support worker on a busy labour ward.
I have experience with premature babies, newborns, multiples, right through to toddlers, pre school age and school age.
I am currently working as a live in au-pair for a wonderful family. I plan to finish up with this family around the beginning of January 2015 as I would like to take a couple of weeks out to do some travelling around New Zealand. I am therefore looking to start a new position at the end of January 2015/beginning of February 2015 (dates can be flexible) for approximately 5-6 months.

I am a very patient, reliable, trustworthy and caring person. I love working with children and watching them develop. Throughout my Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies I learnt a great deal about child development, child health and well-being and childhood education. Since finishing university in 2008, I have put this knowledge into practice and have consistently worked with babies and children, in both formal and private settings. I have been very fortunate to have thoroughly enjoyed each role, and particularly thrive on being part of the crucial years of a child's development. My practical experience has involved caring for children of all ages; from premature and newborn babies as a Maternity Support Worker on the labour ward of my local hospital for 2.5 years, to toddlers/pre-schoolers in the daycare environment as a Room Co-ordinator and older teens.
I take pride in my work and showing initiative with the children in all aspects of their education and play, as well as making it my priority to be sure all children are settled and happy. I like to stay active and believe in outdoor play as much as indoor play. My exposure to children with severe learning difficulties, particularly autism, has only enhanced my ability to respond to any behavioural challenges, but I fully respect and will accord with the discipline and routine desired by parents.

Ready for interviews

Dear Family,

Hello, my name is Bonnie Clarke. My husband and I recently moved from Vancouver Canada and are so excited to be I'm Sydney. I was raised in a family of four with an older sister. We were raised in the country so from an early age I was surrounded by nature and being creative in games and crafts we would do.

Since an early age childcare has always been a passion of mine. Out of high school I attended university for a degree in elementary education with a minor in special education. During university I had a part time job in a day care which lead my passion even more. Out of school I got a full time nanny job working with a family that I absolutely fell in love with. I became apart of their family and worked vey hard to make their experience with me be a breeze. Since that nanny job I have worked in a private school as a special education teacher, as well as a full time ECE instructor at a local preschool/daycare. As you can see all of my jobs have been relating to children. Because of my outgoing, adventurous personality I find childcare to be a perfect fit for my demeanor and personality.

In my spare time I love spending time outdoors exploring nature and spending time with my husband. We love live music and exploring the arts and creative areas of cities.

Look forward to meeting you!

AVAILABILITy:

September 2014 (mid)

My name is Lorène, I’m 19 years old and I’m a French girl. I’m looking for an Au pair position for 9 months or more to start at the end of August or beginning of September and the best would be in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, as I am very familiar with this area. I already lived two years in Sydney with my parents from 2011 to 2013 and I really enjoy it there but unfortunately I had to come back in France this year, however I am very grateful to be back and fulfil this experience.

My English is quite good but I would like to further improve it in the hope of one day being fluent. That’s why I would be really grateful for an opportunity like this.

About children: I LOVE them! I had a lot of experience as babysitting children of all ages (in France and whilst I was in Sydney) and I’m also the eldest of a family of four children. I enjoy being active so playing with them, doing activities and so on are very enjoyable to me. I can also provide assistance with homework or school projects. Animals are not a problem at all if you have some. Being a housekeeper is for me part of the activities I am familiar within my family, and it’s something that I like to do. Unfortunately, I don't have my driving license, but I'm very confortable with buses and transports in general.

Being an Au pair in Sydney would be the chance for me to realize that dream once more. I still want to do a lot of things and learn even more about the Australian lifestyle and culture that I like very much and I really also want to be a great sister again and I would really like to be welcomed as part of your family!

Contact me with any further questions you might have or for additional information. :)

I want to be an Au pair during approximaltely one year because I want to see if I’m capable to handle children in a long term and maybe start to work with them in my future (pediatric nurse, nanny ..) . I’m very comfortable and patient with them at every ages. I like to help them in their way to happiness ! They make me happy all the time !

AVAILABILITY:

October 3rd 2015 - STUDENT VISA / DEMI AU PAIR

Hello!

I’m Natalia Liporesi, I’m 18 years old - I’ll be 19 by october the 15th -, I was born in Bologna, where I currently live. Travelling is my thing - I always loved to see with my own eyes countries or cities formerly known to me just by photo, friends or tv... and how could Australia not be one of those places! I made up my mind about this trip a year ago. I was attending las year high school and thinking about my future. I then realized I wasn’t solid enough about what university I would have like to attend, so I decided - if I hadn’t made up my mind in time for the submission deadlines – to take a year off.

I then took in serious consideration to attend the university either in Scotland or Denmark, but being not confident about my english I realized I couldn’t go for it just this academic year. So what better chance to fullfill my own dream – travelling – and improve my english in order to attend my dream university?

That’s where the idea of this travel comes from. I am very happy about it and I’m feeling so lucky to have such supportive parentscusins and friends– who helped my at every step.

I guess though you would like to know something more about me, so I am going to tell you about my hobbies. I enjoy cooking very much and I would be delighted to cook for you some italian specials! I play sax – no reason to be alarmed since I am not going to play it while I’ll be there!

I am a scout, since the age of 8– I always loved to get out of the city to embrace nature and the scout group gave me that opportunity and it’s as a scout girl that I had my very first “travelling adventures”. I consider that experience the “university of life” – a chance to be independent, to get use to simple life.

With the scouts, I volunteer once a week for an art-therapy group of kids 12-14 y. Regarding my work experience with children – apart from my leading the group of the youngest scuots – I baby sitted two children, Marco and Dany,– 4 and 6 y. – during summertime – twice - . Challenging as it was, that’s always been fun for me and I couldn’t wait summertime to begin. That’s the main reason why I decided to go for the au-pair program.

I am about to graduate from Second Level College of Science so I’ll be happy to help your kids with their maths – or other subjects - homeworks.

I’ll begin to attend english classes at Eglish Language Company - ELC, a Sydney, 495 Kent street at october the 12, with a program of 25 h/per week, mon-fry, from 8 am till 3/4 pm – depending on days.

My english is not very fluent, but I am going to work hard to improve it! Hope to meet you soon,

Natalia

Hi Families!

My name is Marina, I’m 18 years (19 next month) and I’m from Germany. I really love and enjoy travelling and discovering other countries, which is why I am now here in Australia.

Australia was always my biggest dream and now it becomes true. Back home I just finished school and got my Higher School Certificate and my year in Australia now should be a gap year between school and my future studies. I plan to study Physiotherapy next year.

Some facts about me: I’m an active, friendly person with a huge sense of humor and I love seeing children growing up. I do a lot of sports as I play basketball, tennis, soccer or just go for a run. I also enjoy playing the piano for 8 years and the guitar for 2 years.

I have several experiences with childcare as I used to work as an Au Pair now for 6 weeks ( girls aged 4, 6 and 9), did occasional babysitting in Germany and lead a sports group for children between 8 to 12. I am comfortable working with children aged 2 and up and have the most experience between 4-12, however I get along with all ages, I am reliable and learn quickly!

I need to change my host family because they don’t need my help anymore, they are going to get a live out nanny instead of hosting au pairs! They are very happy to provide me a reference and/or speak with my future host family

I love being part of a family and playing with children which is why I enjoy being an Au Pair.

Kind regards,

Marina

Januray 2015

Dear Family,

I'm an 18 year old girl from Munich, a city in southern Germany. After I finished school in July 2014, I started being an Au Pair in a lovely family in Perth. As they'll only need me until the end of the year, I am now looking for another outgoing, cheerful and friendly family who would like to welcome me in January 2015 for 2 to 6 months.

It took me less than 2 weeks to get used to everything in my current host family and I am sure that I'll quickly settle in with my next family as well.

I would love to become a big sister for your children, take care of them during my stay, watch how they grow older and have fun with the whole family. It's important for me to be involved in your everyday life, so it would be lovely to join you for some week-end activities, help with the cooking, ...

I have had a great deal of experience with children, as I have been the Au pair of two little girls (aged 2 and 4) who I totally love! By looking after them within the last few months, I had the possibility to develop a lot of useful skills in childcare. I also got used to driving on the left-hand side of the road and I am a really confident driver.

Back in Germany, I spent a lot of time coaching a group of children doing gymnastics. I'm very imaginative, action orientated and also responsible - looking forward to keeping your children busy.

In my free time, I like doing sports and I 'm going to gymnastics several times a week. I also love nature and outdoor activities like horse riding and skiing in winter (Munich is very close to the Alps)...

Some of my other hobbies are playing the piano and singing in a choir. On some week-ends, I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes - I especially love Italian dishes!!

I love to be involved in a lot of activities. I am a really easy going and open-minded person and I have a lot of humour. I love to laugh and to have a lot of people around! I'm sure that I'll quickly get to know many new friends in my new home and hope to spend much time with my new family members!

Maybe, you could be my family? - I look forward to getting to know you!

Marilou (22)- France

AVAILABILITy:

*** No Longer Available ***

Dear family,

My name is Marilou, I am a 22 years old French girl.

I am an event manager intern in the fashion industry so I am looking for a part-time position at least 3 days a week, including Monday. But I am flexible as I can choose the day I will go to work, so we can talk about it.

Experience of 9 years from newborn to 13 years old as a nanny, part time nanny, overnight nanny, baby sitter...

I’ve been an Aupair for 3 months with a baby who was 1 week old when I arrived in Sydney 5 months ago. Obviously I have knowledge of infant nutrition, behavior and clothing. Some positions involved caring of infant as well as in France and in Australia.

In addition of the casual positions, I have some "long experiences" in Sydney suburbs - previously a nanny for :

- a 4 years old boy, a 2.5 years old girl and a newborn in Double Bay

- a 4 years old girl and a 2.5 years old girl in Surry Hills (still nannying for them every Sunday and on casual evenings)

- a 12 months old girl in Coogee

- a 8 months old boy in Waterloo

In France, I’ve been taking care of three children for 3 years. Today they are 2 years old, 8 years old and 14 years old. I took care of them, and gave class lessons to the girl. We liked to cook, to play, read stories, or just keep calm, watch a movie and relax sometimes. I can say I was more like a big sister to them. I’ve been taking care of Roméo, the youngest since he was born. I am a very patient person, I love to take care of bubbies and I have an extended experience.

Moreover during 3 years I’ve been taking care of a three years' old girl, Carla. Today she is 6 years old, so I have seen her growing up ! Every two weeks, I was taking care of her from the saturday (all day) to the next friday. I was picking her after school, gave her her snack, played with her, gave her the bath and then prepared the dinner. Her parents are divorced, and I was take care of her when she was in her dad's home.

And many more casual positions. I have references in Sydney as well as in France so do not hesitate.

Good cooker and pet lover. I am calm, mature, responsible and autonomous. I have three sisters who I have always cared and cooked for, and have minded many young nieces and nephews, including infants – we’re a big family!

I am currently living in Surry Hills.

Reliable, organizing and friendly.

Regards,

Marilou xx

I live in a small country down back home in Scotland in the Scottish Borders surrounded by farms, fields and rivers!

I grew up to be an outdoorsy, active girl sharing my childhood with a great younger brother and sister.

***Candidate Placed***

Now - in Sydney

Dear family,

I'm Cynthia, 25 years old Taiwanese girl, speak both mandarin and English fluently, which means I can also teach the kids to speak Chinese if they're interested in. I'm reliable, super energetic, very outgoing, traveled a lot by couchsurfing all around the world.

I came to Australia for the new experience! Wanna be an au pair cause I love kids very much and they usually love me too! No kidding. I had a experience looking after my two nieces who are 3 years old and 6 months old for three months cause their mom needs to work. All my relatives have 7 girls in total and every time they come back, those girls are my responsibility. I play with them, teach them, being their big sister and have fun together!!

I majored in education for my masters degree, so before I came to Australia I was a teacher in cram school teaching kids around age 7-12. So in general I am well-experienced and I am also good at house work cause I like to make everything tidy and clean, thank to my strict mom hahaha!

My working holiday visa can allow me stay until 14/05/2017 which means I still have a year left, and I am willing to stay with a family 3+ months, actually 6+ months is better cause I think that keep a close bonding with children is very important!

I love outdoor activities, beaches, reading, traveling and enjoying healthy food. And I love animals, so no worries if you have a dog, I'll be happy to babysit the dog as well.  :-)

Only words can't express completely, so this is 20% of me, if you want to know another 80%, let's meet in person and you'll see how amazing I am! Look forward to meeting you and your kids :-) and most importantly, be a part of your lovely family!

Best regards,

Cynthia
